What is it?
The Census Bureau's rolling demographic and socioeconomic survey covering every county and Census tract. Reports race and ethnicity, income, poverty, insurance coverage, housing, transportation, education, and language.
Why it matters
Almost every social and economic indicator in a CHNA traces back to ACS. The 5-year estimates are the only source of statistically reliable demographic data at the Census-tract level.
